Isabella Cowell

Isabella was born in 1843, her parents where James and Isabella Cowell. She was the sister of my gr gr grandmother Ann Cowell. Isabella married a fellow named Mayon, she bore a son called Lawrence in Salford. Isabella was widowed, then married Robert Eaves, of Skippool, 26 Aug 1869. Isabella died at the age of 48 on 9th May 1892 after bearing a further seven children. Photograph and information courtesy of David Eaves.

Also Ellen COWELL mother of the above who died January 13th 1869 aged 75 years.

Fanny Cowell's gravestone

John James Cowell's gravestone

of Ellen Ann COWELL who died March 21st 1921 aged 31 years.

June 25th 1928 aged 76 years.
Also Elizabeth Ellen the beloved wife of William Henry WILSON and daughter
of the above who died June 6th 1929 aged 42 years.
Also of the above John COWELL who died May 19th 1930 aged 78 years.

William Cowell's gravestone

In loving memory of William COWELL died April 24th 1871 aged 31 years.
Also of Mary Ann his wife died March 25th 1903 aged 66 years.
Also of Hornby their son died November 26th 1870 aged 3 years.
Also of Esther their daughter died December 4th 1870 aged 4 years.
Also of Alfred ROE their grandson died December 24th 1893 aged 15 months.
Also of Margaret Isabella ROE their granddaughter died August 29th 1894 aged 9 months.

James Hornby's gravestone

In loving memory of James the beloved husband of Mary HORNBY
who died August 14th 1924 aged 60 years.
Till we meet again.
Also Mary his beloved wife who died July 5th 1942 aged 76 years.
Also of Thomas the beloved husband of Elizabeth E.PORTER who fell
asleep March 11th 1931 aged 39 years. Resting where no shadows fall.
Also Elizabeth Ellen his beloved wife who fell asleep January 31st 1972
in her 80th year.
Also their sons Cnr James H.PORTER died February 27th 1942 aged 22 years.
And Thomas PORTER died April 4th 1927 aged 5 weeks.
